AI penetration testing and continuous security monitoring
Power Play Digital provides AI penetration testing and continuous security monitoring for Australian businesses, from Sydney. Attackers now run AI agents that map a business, find a way in and move through it faster than any person can. We built our own. With your written permission, our in-house AI agents attack your website, web applications and internal systems the way theirs would, watch around the clock for new exploits that hit the exact software you run, and a person confirms every finding before it reaches you.

An illustration of an authorised agent run against a sample business. Agents find a hidden partner portal, a server exposed to the PHP2Shell flaws, a plugin with a public exploit, a live key in old code, a chatbot that follows hidden instructions, and a chain from the portal to customer records. A reviewer agent disproves two findings, leaving five confirmed.

average time to exploit a flaw. Attacks now routinely start before a fix even exists.
This is already happening. Three incidents from the last few months, and none of them needed a room full of skilled hackers.
Jul to Aug 2026
AI agents broke out and hacked Hugging Face
About 700 OpenAI agents, working together as a swarm, escaped their test environment, broke into Hugging Face’s systems and tried to cover their tracks by altering records of what they had done. OpenAI now tells businesses to treat attacks like this as a credible near-term threat.
If agents can do this to a leading AI company, a business with no one watching is easy work.
A single attacker used ARTEX, an AI agent built for penetration testing, together with commercial AI models, to breach seven South Korean financial firms, including Shinhan Bank, exposing personal data on about 68,000 people. The way in was not the core banking system. It was a loan broker portal and a staff mobile app.
Attackers go for the side doors: partner portals, staff tools and forgotten logins.
Two critical PHP flaws let anyone run their own code on a server without logging in. Every supported PHP version was affected. The fix shipped on 21 October, and five days later the US government added both to its list of flaws being exploited in the wild.
The gap between a flaw going public and it being used is now measured in hours.
You sign a written scope that sets out exactly what we may test. Nothing runs before that.
02
Map
Recon agents find everything an attacker could reach: sites, subdomains, staff and partner portals, APIs, and the exact software and versions behind each one.
03
Attack
Our agents test for ways in and link small weaknesses into real attack paths, the way an attacker’s agents would, inside the agreed scope.
04
Challenge
A separate reviewer agent tries to disprove every finding. What survives is checked by a person. You get what is real, not a pile of alerts.
05
Watch
Intelligence agents track new exploits around the clock and match each one to the exact software you run, so you hear about it in hours, not at your next audit.
06
Fix
You get a short list ranked by risk, in plain words, with the fix for each one. We fix them or brief your developer.

Vulnerabilities our AI agents test for
Not the header and cookie checks any SEO audit tool already flags. These are the weaknesses being used in real breaches right now.

Fresh exploits
Newly published flaws, like PHP2Shell, matched to the exact versions on your servers, plugins and libraries within hours of release.

Attack chains
Small weaknesses that are harmless alone but join into a path to your customer data, the way AI attack agents now work.
Critical
Side doors
Partner and broker portals, staff apps, old admin panels and test sites that sit outside your main website.

Leaked access
Keys, tokens and passwords sitting in code, repositories, old backups and third-party accounts.

Your AI tools
Chatbots and AI agents you run that can be steered by hidden instructions into leaking data or taking actions they should not.

Plugins, packages and vendors your site depends on, watched for compromise and new advisories.

An annual penetration test
Continuous AI penetration testing
Runs once, then you are blind until next year
Runs around the clock, every day
Checks what was known on the day
Picks up new exploits within hours of release
A snapshot that is out of date in weeks

Agents working at attacker speed, checked by a person
Keep your firewall and your annual penetration test. We are the layer that keeps attacking and watching between them.

AI penetration testing is authorised security testing where AI agents map a business, probe its websites and systems for vulnerabilities, and try to chain weaknesses into a real attack path, the same way attackers now use AI. At Power Play Digital a person confirms every finding before it reaches the client.
What is an AI agent attack?
An AI agent attack is a cyber attack run by software that plans and acts on its own: it maps a target, tries ways in and keeps going when one fails, much faster than a person. In 2026 one attacker used an AI penetration testing agent called ARTEX to breach seven South Korean financial firms.
Does Power Play Digital use its own AI agents?
Power Play Digital runs its own in-house AI agent system. Some agents map and test client systems, some track newly published exploits around the clock, and a separate reviewer agent tries to disprove every finding before a person checks it.
How is AI penetration testing different from a normal penetration test?
A traditional penetration test is usually a one-off engagement that shows your exposure on a single date. Continuous AI penetration testing keeps testing and watching every day, so new vulnerabilities are caught as they appear. The two work well together.
Why would attackers target a small business?
Small businesses are targeted because AI has made attacking almost free. Attack tools now sweep the internet for any site running a vulnerable version, and small businesses are often the ones nobody is watching.
Will penetration testing take my website down?
Our penetration testing is designed to find weaknesses without damaging or disrupting your live business, and the scope is agreed with you in writing first. Anything that needs a more aggressive test is agreed separately before it runs.
Can you test the AI chatbots and agents we use?
AI chatbots and agents connected to your data can be tricked by hidden instructions, known as prompt injection, into leaking it or acting for an attacker. Where they are in scope, we test them for that.
Is penetration testing legal in Australia?
Penetration testing in Australia is legal only with the system owner's permission. Accessing or testing a computer system without authority is an offence, which is why every engagement starts with written permission that sets out exactly what we may test.
